Wood Mouldings is an independent, family company and a brand recognised for quality of service and expertise in moulding manufacture.
Founded in 1951, in the garage of his Dublin home, Val Browne started his business making products such as ironing boards & deckchairs for local businesses including the well-known Irish retailer Roches Stores.
In the 1970s, having moved to the Dalkey Tram yard, Val was looking to expand his market base. He bought & restored a scrapped moulding machine and began producing a range of mouldings for Irish hardware stores. In 1984 Wood Mouldings Ltd was officially established.
When Val retired in ‘87, he passed the business to his sons, Ultan & Coley who had worked alongside him. They further expanded and modernised the plant, raising the company profile and establishing Wood Mouldings as a quality brand.
In 1999, Wood Mouldings moved to its current location, a 15,000msq purpose built factory in Co.Wicklow. Since then business has continued to grow from strength to strength with many new customers joining our loyal base of long-time business partners. Dedicated to producing quality products and providing customer service that is second to none, we are proud to supply all our customers both here in Ireland and across the United Kingdom.
