In architecture and joinery, a door frame is a three-sided solid structure fitted into a rough opening to form a doorway. The frame (sometimes called a jamb) is made up of two vertical frames (side jambs) and one horizontal jamb (head jamb). Our door frame sets and door frame lengths come in White Deal, Red Deal, Mahogany and MDF Primed White. These doorframe sets are hard-wearing and the primed are ready to take a final coat of paint.
Our Door Frame range also includes 30 Minute internal frames and 1 Hour Fire-Rated external Doorframe Sets. These specially designed frameworks are grooved to accommodate your standard size fire strips or you can choose frames with the strip pre-fitted. These fire strips are certified to protect against fire and smoke and are Certifire approved (fire tested to BS 476: Part 22, BS EN 1634-1 and smoke tested to BS 476: Part 31.1).
Once fitted with the fire strip, the frames are designed to hold back fire for 30 minutes and 1 hour respectively, making them ideal for a variety of applications including office spaces, commercial premises and homes. Our door frames are available with a standard 900mm head size or with the wheelchair friendly 1000mm head and are available in two different depths of 108mm or 133mm.
